VAPORWARE: Eternity map pack announcement!

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

We haven't had the floppies or whatever for Doom and Doom2 for ages, so that's most probably a no. Either way, I've never been too concerned. It all works in ZDoom, which has kept me happy so far.

Have you checked out their headers? Make sure they don't show PWAD, but IWAD.

And for some reason or another, over the course of many years my Doom and Doom2 IWADs have become incompatable with ports such as prboom and Eternity. They both still work with ZDoom derived ports however. Admittedly, my Doom1, Plutonia and tnt IWADs do seem to remain compatable with all ports, so I could possibly fudge my way round it.

EDIT:

To be precise, my DOOM.WAD, DOOM2.WAD and HEXEN.WAD all have post-2000 last-modified dates, which is most probably something to do with the problem, as the others still have their 1995/96 dates (even though I only got hold of heretic and hexen a year or so ago).
If your IWADs somehow got turned into PWADs, you're in luck, because Eternity no longer has problems with this if I remember right. Quasar fixed it recently; I'm not sure if it's fixed in the latest official release, but I'm almost positive it is in the SVNs.

So far 'Eternity' has been the motto of every project for Eternity.

Well, my crisis is over anyway. The latest version of Eternity (SVN or something... whatever one Morph sent me) works fine with my Doom2 IWAD!

Considering everything, the map making's the only thing it pratically has and without portals and such you've only got a vanilla doom map. :P

Is this still free to contribute? :) I like Eternity. Though I am swamped in three other projects now, so meh.

It's clearly styled after Suspended in Dusk, so maybe you're just thinking of that?
