If I could change one thing about XWE... It would be all the "hey ur a fag for using xwe!" people out there. :glare:

That and more ease-of-use for PNGs. :P Other than that I'm good!

better png reading would be great, as well as adding the new lumps that have been made.

as for the save while you edit feature... i would prefer that if someone fixes the bugs that they leave that as an option to toggle on and off, since i like doing quick edits to decorate/ect and others while checking to see if they work by running the wad in (G)ZDoom and leaving the file open.

i like the save while you edit. and yes i know im completely batshit insane for it.

Shortcut to put a lot of sprites in a wad quickly: first, select all the sprite files directly in the explorer, then right-click, Send to->compressed folder, and it creates a zip. Open that zip with slumped, and you can now select them all with shift+end, right-click copy, open the wad you want to put them in, right click paste, and you're done.

Better PK3 support would be nice, like displaying folders as lumps and have it go into a subdirectory/show the lumps in the folder rather than dumping them all into one place and breaking the PK3.

Speaking of source code, isn't WhackEd open-source? I've always wanted to make some changes to that...

Oh yes, finally someone can enhance XWE to make it work better with PNGs and kill all the bugs...

...Provided we can find someone who can program Delphi 6, which is not me ;P. I do plan at taking a look at the code at some point though to see if I could port it to another language, such as C

If anybody could actually mess with its source code, would it be so difficult to make it so that palette color 247 doesn't automatically become evil teal/black in XWE?

This does severe damage to heretic/hexen sprites and it's a royal pain in the ass.

On another note, glad to see its source code released! :D

I have a modified version of slumped that does that, in a way. (It lets you change in the config file which index number is treated as transparent.)
