How to make your own JokeWAD music:

If you try to make decent MIDI music without the foreknowledge of the simple basics of how music actually works (like I did), you'll start composing with a positive outlook, and pretty soon start fooling yourself into thinking that you're actually good at it and even gradually improving. After a few months/years you'll go back to your earlier attempts at MIDI music, possibly throw up in shame, and then, because you're* a completist bastard, not want it to go to waste and find a suitable spot for it in a jokeWAD sooner or later.

Just find a midi program and, preferably with no experience, compose a tune. If you do this, then the standard of the music will match the quality of most joke wads.

The easy method:
1. Open your trusty MIDI editor. The next steps are hard to do without this part.
2. Choose an instrument.
3. Scatter notes where you find them appropriate. Apply effects as desired.
4. Repeat 2 and 3 until your song is done.
5. Congratulations, you've got a new track ready for jokewad use!

Or if you don't want annoying music, any old midi will do. Make sure it's not too serious and fits the mood. Music is highly underrated in Doom mods.
