Has anyone ever tried making a ZDoom mod where the graphics (weapons, enemies, textures, etc.) and maybe even custom levels looked like they were done in pencil and paper? I'm not talking about cel-shaded graphics either. I mean it would look like you're walking around in a world all drawn on a sheet of binder paper or a sketchbook or something and you're battling other doodles and sketches. I'd love to try and do a Pencil/Paper Doom mod. It'll probably be a huge pain in the ass to draw everything and scan it all in, but if I had all the free time in the world to do it, I would.

A wad that somehow edits Doom so that when I'm playing coop online I learn my Maths and Chemistry while I blast demons, so I don't have to sacrifice one for the other :)

Haha. No, not exactly. I was actually thinking about trying to convert one of my various wacky and violent doodles from back in High School or Junior High School into Doom format.

You know what... Scarily enough, I was thinking the same exact thing this morning. Except it'd work much more like that game in that Geometry CD from Edmark (can't remember the name of the series,) wherein a window would appear on your screen with a math problem to solve, and once you've solved it, doors unlock accordingly (the feel of the game itself was Doomy, too, since the maze you explored was technically rendered in 2.5D.) I suppose this could be acheived somewhat with HUDMessage and GetPlayerInput... =P

So I started playing Ultima Underworld again, and again came the urge to create something similar for ZDoom... :/

I find it hilarious there are all these people trying to remake all these games with a 15-year-old game.

*Looks at Q:NA* No, I'm not criticising. :P

Well firstly something simple.
Doom Gore pack add on, which is basiclly normal Doom 2, but every enemie has like 5 new death animations to make it more fun!
so sometimes you can blow imps heads off, and sometimes enemies blow to peices etc, aswell as the normal deaths.

What would really be cool is if you could keep shooting an enemy after they're dead to get the different animations, and even gib them if you shoot them long enough! Someone remind me what Neo-Geo game that was...

"Weirdo Bizarre" has a level like this. It's just black & white MSPAINT graphics, though.

Here's one, which will never happen for various reasons.

Every map of doom2 compiled into one map. Sure it wouldn't make sense, and you'd have to make extra corridors and such to squeeze it into one map but I think it would be... kinda interesting. Especially if you had windows and things to see the other "maps" that you haven't been in yet.

Lol, yeah, but then I would really only play it to see how you'd managed to join them together

I've been thinking of making a short jokewad about the gameshow Deal or no Deal to show what a load of bull it is, I mean, random box opening is a game?!

I've often thought of doing something like this.
