Testfade before starting a new game will crash ZDOOM.
'fade black' won't do anything at all if fade color is already set to color 0
of the palette, BUT it could be used to remove poor colormaps from
custom palettes and use those of ZDOOM instead.
Yes, it's a feature request and easy to do.

If you're getting a crash, please include the crash report, if possible, as well as a comprehensive description of what you where doing when it happend.
If it's happened with a specific wad, posting the wad (or a link to it) is a good idea.

Sounds reasonable since you're trying to change the palette fading of a game that hasn't started yet. IMHO however, this should not crash ZDoom.DrFrag wrote:Testfade before starting a new game will crash ZDOOM.
(kind of reminds me of a bug that I think LWM posted about the fact that summoning an actor in the console before starting a game crashed ZDoom... I wonder what other functions crash ZDoom before starting a new game??)
