Heh, I pointed out that Impse fanfic, way back when, to John Romero and he thought it was funny, so yeah, I think if anything, John Romero would laugh, and then beat them up. :)

No, everyone, I'm not making that part up about the Impse...

To be clear, though, I said to him IIRC, that I want to show you something scary. :)

Well, I went to Gamevance, signed up using a mailinator mail account, clicked on SWAT assault and it wanted me to DL some pishy exe to allow me to play their games. So, "forget you mother funster" as Eddie Murphy said on the TV sanitised version of 48 Hours (or some such movie).

@Enjay:Well theres no Spyware included with it...I know that much is true.I think they make you dl a client so you can transfer your high scores to their website.

@Davidb1000:So lemme get this straight...He would approach the Gamevance guys and say "Ha ha...that was a pretty funny game you made! Now excuse me for I will now punch you in the throat for my enjoyment."

Am I pretty accurate there?

LOL! I was making a joke. Gahhh. Sorry, I really live up to my new title, failing to get his point across. :)

Now, why would John Romero punch anyone in the throat, hell, he doesn't even hate John Carmack that much!
Sorry, I'm just surprised that you thought I was being serious. I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh, that just cracked me up...

Hrm, yes, well, can I quote your line if I ever get into writing again? That's a good one.

Okay, laughing aside, I'm still not certain on this, it may be considered fair use. Like that not so hard to find picture of Duke Nukem covering Lara Croft's breasts..(possibly made by 3d realms). Hey, if Eidios, ( a group of what could be considered serious people) didn't raise a stink over that, then maybe ID or whoever won't...

This is just an example of how Doom has spread (and in some cases still spreading) through the hearts and minds of everyone on the planet.

Yeah, that's true, minus the fatality rate. :)
If anything, Doom is more like the Bubonic plague. :)

Yes, I'm so glad you were joking! Wow, I still fail it! My skill is not enough...

Hrm, right, what are other peoples opinions on this? Anybody? Enjay's evil twin, Xaser? :)

Also, I'm half surprised no one said something along the lines of "NOOOO! He mentioned Impse, he must die!"

Oh well, I don't really want to become part of their hi-score club. I just wanted to see the game in action.

Why would Romero do anything? He's no longer in id software, and he didn't draw those sprites... No, the one guy that needs to be put on the case if id software's own copyright infringement expert: Dangerous Dave!

<insert Indiana Jones music here>
Heh, I haven't ever played Dangerous Dave, I've been trying to find it. and Monster Bash as well.

Yeah, I figured John Romero, or even John Connor, er, John Carmack wouldn't do anything about it, nor could John Romero do anything either way, and John Carmack strikes me as the type of guy to not really care...about this.
