LMAO, I've seen that ad a few times, well, whenever I turn off Adblock, anyway, and I don't know if click here and get a virus, er, win a free ipod, spam like that falls under fair use or not. I think it's copyright infringement, but hey, I think ID software could possibly care less.

Anybody else have an idea.

I sleep well knowing that the US Special Weapons And Tactics squads are protecting us from green pinkies.

I guess techincally it could be the RRTC (Or whatever the fuck they were called in the doom movie) Looks like they took the green pinkies from the Rhyleah wad.

Even though ID won't say anything about it (Even though they did complain that STALKER used water textures used in Doom 3 and HL2) I still think they should.It's blatant copyright infringement...They could have at least modified the plasma rifle and pinkies to make it seem like they weren't screaming "Hey ID,Come financially rape me in the ass!"

Okay, it's settled then, you call John Carmack, and I'll e-mail/nag John Romero on ICQ. :)
Seriously though, as bad as it is, I don't know if it's fully illegal, or falls under the fair use policy.

Know any good lawyers? My knowledge on the law is very low.

Nope, I've seen it a good number of times around filedamnit, er FilePlanet and others. Don't see it that often with Adblock plus, but occasionally I'll spot it on a few sites I removed from the auto-block list.

I remember the first time I saw it, I laughed. :)

Hey, Capt, where did you find it?

Cutman, you're such a cut up! Bwahahaha.
Edit: If I find out where it's from, I can figure out more what the legality is. Can I DDOS it? :)

No. Greenie is approximately equal to tree-hugger. A green pinkie, on the other hand, is what you get if you stick that finger far enough up your nose. :)

I was looking on Piratebay.org for a download so I can obtain a serial key for my dawn of war collection and Medieval 2 since I seem to have lost it during the move from Nashville to my current location.I have played that game out of boredom once,but I noticed it and figured you guys would get a good laugh out of it.The game's on gamevance.com,and whats weirder is when I opened the pic to view it on Imageshack a Gamevance pop up came up.

John Romero is gonna make Gamevance his BITCH!

The Pirate Bay has serials? Gahh!
Anyhow, besides the questionable legality of this game, and I use it lightly, it does look hilarious. so, it might fall under the fair use policy. Besides, I'm not a lawyer, otherwise I'd say something like ."Don't download warez!" :)

all joking aside, maybe someone should let ID know about it? <pokes Captain Proof with a stick>
<pokes Cutman with a stick as well>
<pokes Phobous...is banned.>

Actually you'd see something like

Medieval 2 fullversion crack!!11!1one!1

but since I only need the key I go in and uncheck eveything except the txt file containing the key.

/me slaps stick out of davidb1000 hand

Don't poke,that hurts.I'm pretty sure Romero would make a big stink about it but as for everyone at ID I'm sure they could care less.I'm sure if they aren't slapping everyone that mod's doom with lawsuits then they won't attack gamevance for ripping the plasma rifle and green pinkies...greenies...whatever.
