Am I the only one here who really doesn't like the idea of deleting pages for lack of info? I understand your reasoning behind consistency and clarity, but it clearly doesn't justify removing a page entirely for that reason. If there's "not enough info", just mark it as a stub and draw attention to it ("this needs more info").

Think about it -- by deleting pages, suddenly you have even less info than before. Huh, strange how that works. ;P

Hmm, just my view though. I'm no active wiki-editor by any means, so my say doesn't mean much. Anyone else agree, though?

The problem with that though is that NO ONE will bother doing anything to them... Ever. It doesn't matter anyway as I'm bringing most of them back slowly with more info and formatting the ones that people have recently added (if they need it).

If you saw how many had just a page with a link or a sentence of information you'd change your mind :P

Speaking of which, if anyone wants their wad put back up (but can't edit the wiki for so and so reason) drop me a pm with as much relevant info about the wad as you can.

@Phobus: Your articles look fine to me, but could do with screenshots. If you're not sure how to put them on slap them up on imageshack and give me the link ;)

I'll have a go at getting a screenshot for every wad in today. I have them stored on my site, so I'll see what I can do. The examples in other wiki articles are quite handy.

EDIT: I've done that, and the positioning of the screenshots was done so that they fit into the text, rather than being above the wad header, which is why I've undone some of your changes but left others.

Wait what, they're ABOVE the header and not next to it? Weird. Could you take a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Btw I just added a two that I think NEED a mention... Namely NJTRAIN and Foreverhood ;)

Here's a screenshot in an attachment.

I noticed the same thing myself when I first tried to emulate the layout of the Weapons Resource Wad page, so I concluded that there was either something I didn't know, or the length of my download links made it so that some of the images were moved up.

This is noticeable on Justice - Infernal Mechanics, Scourge, Scars of the Wounded Prey and possibly Twisted Joke too, but Warpzone and White Light are fine as the download links are shorter. It doesn't happen on other peoples pages though. I'm using 800x600 as a screen resolution btw.

That's probably it. I wonder if there's any settings in you can change in your user options to make it better? If not... I'm not sure what to do about it :?

Well, aside from raising my screen resolution (which makes it all look rather small to me) my only option is to move the screenshots back into the main body of text where they were, so if you're ok with that, that is what I'd rather do.

Well I guess it doesn't hurt anything else so go for it. Heh, I remember having 800x600 for ages and REFUSED to take it up any higher until my brother got fed up of my changing it and removed the display settings somehow. Now we both have separate machines and I prefer it at 1280x1024 ;)

Ok, done and noted.

And it might just be because I don't like change, or maybe my monitor is a bit small, but anything larger than 800x600 makes the desktop and standard text look too small here. My laptop has a much bigger resolution and looks fine though (its also widescreen).

Oh well, never mind. That's all the wiki work I need to do done and dusted until I release another wad :D

@Cutman: My view still stands, but I respect your opinion. Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh earlier. I keep doing that, somehow. ;P

Also, if I were to go through all the current wad pages and format the 'link' field a little nicer ("Download from /idgames" instead of an ugly URL, as well as pointing to the DW /idgames page instead of a direct FTP download), would anyone complain? If anything, it would make things more consistent.

Thanks for all the link improvements xaser :)

Speaking of Phocas Island, I finished off the article but had a bit of trouble considering I haven't played it... I think i'll do that now!

Yeah, Cutty did a lot of the article; I'll add something or another if I think of anything. I had to get off in the middle of writing it because of lightning. :?
I'll probably get around to doing Phocas 1 sometime soon also.

OK, i dont think Im supossed to ask someone to do it, but well, im not going to loose anything trying right?

I have not a clue how to do a wiki page, but I'd love to see one for this mod, considering it indeed is Zdoom specific.
