I finally figured out how to do it (don't reapply the pallet, just save the current color map in photoshop) and thanks to my leet photoshop skills (gradient maker in color table) I was able to cook up this... and realize it's tuttifruiti as all fuck as well. Hmm. I made a mistake -somewhere-...

But the Abominable Snowcaco looks freaking cool as shit! Someone should make that into an enemy...

EDIT: Oh, here's the pallet as well, it's ugly as sin but whatever.

Will it support Hexen and Heretic? Shinjanji's pallette was good but not bright enough. Or maybe it's just Hexen's darkness? But I still stand at my statement.

Yeah, in fact it's not specific to doom stuff at all. It's finished, I'll post it in a second... it's very easy to use.

Whoa! I didn't expect such interest... hehe! Replies...

-That Doom3 palette is AMAZING! Wow... it looks just as good as the real game, hehe! No raytracers required, either.
-Hueshift is pretty doggone funny... hehe, Blue Hell, here we come!
-Heatwave is *perfect* on certain maps... Map28, E3M1, E3M6, etc. Makes me want to feature request a "palette" parameter for MAPINFO. :P
-I snuck a beta of MoD's Sin City palette and it is wicked. MoD, to not finish would be... a sin! Hah! Aren't I clever?
-WinterII with Dark7 is *amazing*. Chills me to the bone, it does.
-Haha, HexTrip is pretty funny... all the purples and blues make it seem berry-flavored. Kool-Aid Hexen!

If I were to set a quick deadline sometime soon and start a poll to vote on a "winner", would that be worth anything? :P

There you go! Something that makes doom trip in the rather green \ blue way and desaturates most colors:

I've spent more time trying to come up with a damn palette (and failing) than it took to write that tool. :?
