alien creature sprites

im not specifically talking about from the movie alien, but alien creatures in general, anyone know of some particularly gruesome/scaryish/horrifying alien creature sprites?

ive got an idea that needs something like this, something ghoul's forestish but not too much, im calling it Infestation as a working title and its meant to be scary as hell

so any suggestions?

try the alien sprites from Duke Nukem Atomic Edition, they are pretty cool, or check the Beastiary as I think they are on there all converted and DECORATED

that might go in as an easter egg actually, it looks kinda funky

xaeverion - i thought the same thing too, though if i do use it ill have to alter the decorate and possibly the sprites since i want all the alien creatures to be melee only

Ben2k9 - the ones like alien *acid blood * i will use, already planned to since it fits the bill, i was wondering though if any other games had any good alien sprites as rotations wont be a problem since they all will be attacking from the front anyway, and only one alien at a time for those ones

That looks like a giant boss for a crappy Mars Attacks! game with the Wolfenstein game palette.

hmm... maybe a famliliar one??? its from hexen... recolor it and it will fit good as a alien

icy that last one ill have to recolor myself from the full set, but that WILL work well, its been ages since i last had the full version of Hexen and sadly i cant find it anymore, but it will work nicely, never thought of that one, in fact the alien critters from duke ill recolor as well

while this wont be having any public beta i am extending an invitation to beta it to you when i am ready to put one out

Can't be done as far as I'm aware. I asked Csabo to add Alien Trilogy support to XWE years ago. He gave it a good shot and got it to the point where it could read the files. However, he couldn't decode the graphics.

damn, looks like ill have to find sprites from elsewere, however all those raw files for sound effects should load up in XWE though... ill try that at least

edit, yup i got some sound effects to use at the very least

further edit, wow with all the ripley voices im hearing in this i gotta say, thats one character i dont think ill need voice actors for, since my main character is going to be female
