Im using a Radeon 9200 video card and XP just wouldn't detect my USB and LAN... 2000 is running fine at the moment... it's just a lirtle slow to start up, but I can live with that for now.

Try Start-R :)

I guess I don't understand what you're asking for. I've used 95, 98, and ME and never saw this "File Manager" of yours. Unless you're talking about something in Win 3.1.... which has been a damn long time ago..

Yeah, and have to type out the full path each time....no thanks.

Yes it was in Win 3.1, but is also in 95 and 98 (don't know about ME). All you do is go to the File menu and there's an option 'Run..' which lets you type in a command line from the current folder. Far, far better than the Start menu version.

Spend the best $25 of your life. I agree that you shouldn't have to spend that extra money, but so far the MS file managers are lame.

Huh? "fileman.exe" has been removed only in W2K and beyond(IIRC).

Who needs File Manager? It's a shitty tool that doesn't offer anything that's not available elsewhere in the system. And AFAIK it was limited to 8.3 filenames.

A computer without an OS is like a tuna sandwich without the tuna. :P
