You change it with '[' and ']'...

Wow, I not only missed that but the 64 grid is not the same as the other grid. Thanks for clearing that up...

A bit of a progress update, here's what I have done so far for the next version:

-> Line and sector specials are now shown on their respective edit dialogs
-> Thing and line flags are now defined in game configurations instead of being hardcoded
-> Page Up/Down keys now work in the texture browser
-> Greatly reduced loading time, textures are no longer all loaded at startup
-> Tab and Return keys now work in the input preferences dialog
-> Simple 'create sector' function (doesn't work in all situations though)
-> Hexen-format line and thing information is shown on the infobar (args etc)
-> 'Light gradient' function
-> Added ability to set a 'background texture' in 2d mode, useful for aligning map architecture to flat textures
-> Bugfixes

And here's a shot of the background texture feature in action.

Anyway there are still a few important things to do before the next release, it should be ready in a few weeks or so.

Light gradient only? How about floor and ceiling gradients?

Otherwise, good work Slayer. Can't wait to try the new version. =)

Hmm. SLADE seems to not be able to build the GL nodes, no matter what I do. When I run the included glbsp.exe outside of SLADE, the map builds fine, however SLADE always says the GL nodes weren't built.

Sheesh. First it's 3D mode viewing problems. Now I can't even get into 3D mode!

Also, a couple of small feature suggestions:
Press and hold a key to pan view around (like DoomBuilder)
Cancel line/sector drawing
Auto-deselect when clicking when nothing is highlighted
Automatic selection clearing on making a new selection box
I may think of more... XD

Lastly, when using the select box, you can actually select things multiple times...

The only reason that message will pop up is if sladetemp.gwa can't be found in the SLADE folder (same folder as the exe).

1) It's in the to-do list :P
2) Right click
3) Should be easy to add, for now you can just press 'c' to clear the selection
4) Probably won't add this, since in most situations you'll want to add to the current selection.

Fixed for the next version.

Could you implement this a bit differently? I originally requested the feature to DB, with the intent that you would go into 'move mode' but not automatically move the map along with the mouse right away. It's a lot more flexible if you just switch to 'move mode,' but only pan the map when you click and drag it. See almost any Adobe product for an example of how it should work (spacebar to activate move mode).

I don't see how that's any more convenient than just pressing, say shift+click to drag the map view around.

Shift+Click/drag would be fine. In DB's implementation, just pressing the key and moving the mouse moved the map as well.

Slade usually locks up when it's loading a HIRESTEX lump from any wad or my. Kinda unnerving since I wanna use this map more. =/

You can most likely change the key to a mouse click in DB. I haven't tried it though. But yeah when I get it done the default binding will most likely be ctrl+left click or something.

Should be fixed for the next version, which will most likely be released soon :P

EDIT: I got one feature request though... The ability to test the map, like in Doom Builder...
