Before posting your Resource, please make sure you can answer YES to any of the following questions:
  • Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
  • If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
  • If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.

Consult the Resource/Request Posting Guidelines for more information.

Please don't put requests here! They have their own forum --> here. Thank you!

Mor'Resource - A "Retro" Focused Resource Pack! 1.0

I didn't know what else to call it. I have decided to release an early version of the texture and resource pack I have been working on - Mor'Resource! A texture set (and some props) made with the UDMF map format in mind! As such, keep in mind the textures will be truecolor, may be non-uniform dimensions, and not separated by textures and flats.

As it stands, there are currently over 5,200 textures in the pack. It contains textures from various PSX and PS2 games! This is still a work in progress pack and will be updated over time. The main prize will be the textures from the PS2 Armored Core games, but I have not completed ripping those yet. However, you will still find a decent number of them within!

It is recommended to read at least the top portion of the Info.txt file (under the games list), but I will include an excerpt of it here for convenience, which is as follows:

This pack was mainly developed with the UDMF map format in mind, which has the ability to flip wall textures via the 'texture scale' property in the GZDoom Builder series of map editors. (Set the value of the Scale to -1) I did my best to flip or rotate some of the textures, but not all have been affected. With that said, there are still some textures that I have flipped to show that they are meant to be or best when pieced together.

Games that are not 100% are still WIP and the assets may be reordered during ripping, so use them for your maps at your own risk. Unless of course you are going to rename the textures to suit your needs, in which case this message should be disregarded! Please look at the games list in Info.txt to see which games are "safe".

Use, distribute, and modify as you see fit! Remember to credit the original developers! Credit to Mor'ladim not necessary.

=Download instructions=
-Get the file from here:
Download Mor'Resource!

-Then either rename the zip file extension to .pk3 if planning to load it in an editor such as Ultimate Doom Builder, or leave it as a .zip! Do not extract anything from the archive if you are planning to load it as is!

Here are just some examples of what can be done with the textures (The last two shots feature blue and brown floor/ceiling textures from another pack, so those parts can be disregarded):

I would love to hear any feedback and suggestions and hope it will be useful to someone! This was my first time making such a pack, so I am unsure if I set up everything correctly, but do let me know if I did not!
