Post by Sparky »

hey

this isnt zdoom related, but i was wondering if someone could help me?
im almost done my first map, i just need to do item/monster placement and texture aligning

im having trouble aligning textures on doors specificly, they look ok in DB 3d mode, but when i play they are all messed up, anyone know what could be causing this?

Is there any way you could post the map in question? There are a few possible explanations for this problem.

You should fix some textures are missing in places and some things are odd looking. (floating blood?)

Send the map to my e-mail and I'll be happy to test it for you. When it's more or less complete of course.

ya :) i know what you mean. since there isnt any texture that makes it look like blood is dripping, using that particular texture like that kinda makes it look like it is i guess hehe
ill probably change it for something better. or maybe use the one from doom2

:?:

Both are equally good. It takes more skill to make a good UDoom map, but you can't just say 'you are better off with Doom2'.

UDOOM PWNZ YA ALL

Seriously, If I'm making original Doom-theme maps, I use UDoom, I use Doom2 when trying out or making something more modified...
