Though to me, that looks like if the blood dried out overtime. That's something I kinda wondered that I don't see often in video game gore is blood drying out/fading to rusty colours when given enough time.

Would diving underwater immediately "clean" the weapon? I've noticed some games (and mods of games) doing that if you submerge underwater for any amount of time.

Dunno about rip 'n tear but I can offer you whack 'n boom. Very slow progress, but Blaze Reap is coming along nicely so far.
I'd dare say it's the relatively final-ish design on the main sprite, plus 3 bloody variants for a gradual staining system.
On top of that, since Blaze Reap is supposed to (usually) cause explosions on hit (though also known to misfire), I made some post-explosion scorched blood variants of those stained sprites, with a cleaner tip, just because I can.
I suppose what follows should be the other two blood colors, which is a hassle and I'm in no rush to do them. Perhaps an attack animation will do...
Now I'm just imagining picking up the other pickaxe, looking at it for a moment, then suddenly, it glows, sparks, and shakes - and morphs into THIS pickaxe.

That's doable, it'd function much like the staining itself does, but reverting to clean frames. Seen it done before. Though I assume it'd be obnoxious, though not super difficult, to code in.

Hello there! 8-)

Here is my rough attempt to recreate the main sprite for the really tall Siren Head monster:

Simple edit of a lever action posted by LossForWords some time ago.

Working on converting the MCU Infinity Gauntlet on the left into a unique Gauntlet variation (specifically, the one that appears in my crossovery fanwank bullshit - I have to thin it out some more, among many other things, but I've successfully deluded myself into believing that it's coming along nicely). Essentially meant to be the version wielded by The Legend's player character. The Infinity Stones Gems themselves, along with the plates they're affixed to, need a ton of work.

EDIT: Added poorly resized and thinned version. I may ultimately scrap it and try to make new sprites entirely.

I felt like doing gore and went through the trouble of making a whole vertical slice layer system for using as a base which people could edit to make various animations out of it.
That said, it's not quite done, but this is the very first test done with that base and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Talk about a split personality!
They always did accuse him of doing things by halves!
I think he has somewhere else to be? We should let him split!
Ok, I'll stop now.

I did a flattened/genderneutral version of the 'validating chestplate' from before:

Also a radsuit (in both styles).

I've made this quick to celebrate reaching 666 arts on my newgrounds account.

mama mia! that's a spicy tomato!

Congratulations on your cursed art count, but was the 666th art a Icon of Sin!? (I actually don't look at Newgrounds, I haven't since... 2004?)

Sadly no, but making this sprite was worth it!

It reminds me of those exploding plants from corridor 3 in Guardian Legend. I wonder if, evidently lacking a mouth, it would attack in a similar manner.
