Loving this so far... with the Warrior/Cleric. Are there plans to rebalance the mage? Playing on mature and he's absolute trash, dmg output is garbage even piling points into arcane. Cleric can kill an Ettin with 2-3 swings but mage takes around 20 with staff. Picked up frost which is also useless, its slow cast time/fire rate means the staff kills things quicker and for zero mana cost. Frost would freeze an Ettin in 2 hits on the original but now takes around 5. Currently he's a real slog to play. His staff sound effect is also really annoying, far too loud/bassy relative to other effects.

- Throwing a flechette with frost equipped results in a gas explosion like the cleric and shows the warriors arm animation
- The special action with frost equipped uses the clerics kick rather than the mages 'spark'

Also a bug I noticed, 'Brutal Hexen Controls' don't save when you exit the game and have to set each time. Hasn't affected other controls so far.

Registered an account just to ask for the MegaWAD lol.

Hexen was one of the first PC games I played when I got a computer in 1996. Looking forward to the mod.

Regarding the mage, yes indeed, still updating the game, the mage is more of a coop companion at the moment. The sprites are updated also but still needs more work.

If I am already playing the game do I need to start a new game to use the MegaWAD or can I use my current savegame?

You should start a new game any time you're loading more WADs. Otherwise there will be unpredictable results.

Probably best but maybe when you load to a new zone can restart that zone with the wad.

How's the progress on brutalizing the other classes besides Fighter? (As in choosing starting weapon, summoning a familiar and things like that)

And... could you please send me the MegaWAD :)

Joined the forum just to ask for the Megawad. Glad to see more Doom games being Brutalized! At this rate, we should have Brutal Hacx before too long.
