Running g4.4pre-507-gff99dfbbc, under Vulkan only:
BMF font translations are incorrect, resulting in many colors being another color (e.g., red looking like green), and a bunch of other colors being a muddy red with white pixels on the edges. Demo attached (just a hudmessage with colors listed, showing the difference between a BMF font and normal fonts).
I've also just noticed that translated versions of image-based fonts (using the fonts folder) are being drawn with black backgrounds, again in the Vulkan renderer only... Can post a demo of that too, if needed.

The "black background when translated" issue seems to happen not only with fonts, but also with sprites:
