When you save the game with the vanilla HUD on, the weapon in the save-game image is pushed up, as if the top of the HUD was the bottom of the screen. If you make the HUD smaller or bigger by changing the HUD scaling, the weapon moves up or down accordingly. This is HUD related because if the HUD is removed, the save-game image is correct.

IMHO player's weapon should not be visible on saved game thumbnails at all.

It shouldn't - and it wasn't. It doesn't even render correctly at all in fog. I just always forget to remove it again.

Savegame images are now drawn without weapon and with everything else set properly.
