Delete savegame option
I have often mucked in and out of the game to see what savegame i want to delete and have often messed up and deleted my halfway-through saves.
I suppose this has happened to others as well. And I guess that coding the "delete savegame" in zdoom wouldn't be such a great deal of trouble. Not that it's a pressing issue, though. But it'd be lovely to have this in one of the future releases, no?

A winner is you, Ultimate DooMer!
And I'm obviously too silly not to think of that before.
And Lexus - I bet the autosaves irritate you because of the long names that they generate in the menu!
But I find them useful anyway, since I have the habit to blast through levels and then suddenly face 2 Arch Viles and die with no save.

Autosaves? How did I miss this one? Are autosaves automagically turned on in newer zdoom versions?Lexus Alyus wrote:Is there a way to disable autosaves? they annoy me... although i don't know why :-D
Does it work in co-op? Is there any easy way to find out which file is associated with which saved game (other than guessing from timestamps?

One way would be with UNLEASHEDfratermus wrote:... Is there any easy way to find out which file is associated with which saved game (other than guessing from timestamps?

For each savegame session, it will show you the screenshot and the pwadname at the time of the save.
It couldn't be any easier.

- I do not see, how pressing F1 will help in identfying the pwad. The initial display in the ZDoom LOAD menu is:
the day, date and time when the session was saved
the episode name
the time into the level
the identifier for that saved session, as typed in by the player, which is not necessarily the pwadname
Pressing F1 switches the display to where the saved session saveX.zds file is located, but not the actual name of the pwad.
Maybe I am missing something, which would not be unusual
