Maybe the following helps. In x86 build 251, when I map c1m2 I get the message in the log (in red, without crash): "Script error, "script00.lmp"line 1: Map does not define a namespace. Does GZDoom support MD5 (which is used by Doom 3 - for example in the demo which can be downloaded for free)?

What "config files" do you have in mind? Is there a way to generate them automatically?
Is there a way to automatically convert from MD2 to MD3 (or some other) format which can be handled by GZDOOM without the need of creating these "config files"?

Are you able to convert 3d models from Doom 3 to work in (G)Zdoom? They have been already extracted and work in doomsday: https://www.moddb.com/mods/doom-3-resou ... /jd3rp-v12.

Two days ago I downloaded BoA from GitHub. There is a bug in C1M1 - I can open the yellow door without the key.

The Wiki page http://zdoom.org/wiki/Compile_ZDoom_on_Windows for zdoom states "Visual Studio 2015 is only required for the development versions of ZDoom" . The most likely cause for overheating is dust in the fans or something else obstructing air flow. No idea how easy this would be to clean on a laptop, though. You are right, it was dust. I cleaned the laptop using vacuum cleaner. I even did not have to open the laptop. Now temperature does not go ...
