Question about DM and barrel respawning.
I was wondering, that for the Barrel respawn flag, is this true with the case of the Heretic pods, and the Hexen mushrooms? If not, can it be a feature suggestion to have respawning pods for DM when there technically isn't a pod spawner (pods from E1M2) and respawning mushrooms so the gas clouds can ...

Re: Make it so that I can save my color (sliders) into 4 slots.
bump So is this suggestion going to be considered? I was thinking, I can't get a perfect match for the default 4 colors for Doom, Heretic, Hexen, and Strife, so maybe have the 4 slots saved as the default colors, then if anyone wants to make their custom colors using the sliders, they can overwrite ...

Re: [All versions] Heretic inconsistensies.
woah, how'd you do that? How come mine, being version 2.3.1, does not have the glitter only on the exit E1M6, E2M8, and E3M8 teleport and some others?Gez wrote:It's fine in SVN versions since the fix I've already cited.

Re: [All versions] Heretic inconsistensies.
There isn't teleport glitter on the exit teleports on E1M6, E2M8 or any teleport that has blue glitter. In older versions of Zdoom and in vanilla Heretic, the blue teleport glitter exists. There is no problem with the red glitter though.

Re: Hexen inconsistencies.
I tested this with R1694 and 2.3.1 and I don't see the issue. Here's how it works for me: On skill 1, running through the poison cloud will immediately take a chunk of health (10 or so) and then not do anymore damage while the green fade is on your screen. This also protects you from further poison ...

Hexen inconsistencies.
This thread is related to the heretic inconsistencies thread, but is more about hexen. You may add any inconsistency with Hexen between Zdoom and vanilla, and we will discuss about them. The first one I want to talk about is, when I try to suicide by using flechettes, why does my health go down by a ...

funny glitch with zdoom hexen.
It only happened like today, and seeing how this never happened before, this glitch was an omen to me. I hated those pencil shaped stakes in the wastelands levels, and would avoid the rubble where the pencils usually comes out, but the glitch here is that some came out, but never went back, so I ...

Re: [All versions] Heretic inconsistensies.
Ooo ooooo ooooo. I have another heretic inconsistency. Isn't the big homing useless firemace ball supposed to go through teleporters to follow the player or enemy? I don't think the small balls go through the teleporter, just the tomed big ball. I am not sure if this feature is multiplayer only, and ...

yeah, it has all this IME stuff.randee wrote:It's 101a on mine, so that should be fine. Try running from a window instead of fullscreen so you can get a better view of what's happening. It sounds like it's trying to pop up an IME window.
How do I disable it?

Re: Keybinds are weird on some computers.
Those overrides are probably the culprits. Keyboard type 7 is Japanese. Try changing them to these: LayerDriver JPN -> kbd101.dll OverrideKeyboardIdentifier -> PCAT_101KEY OverrideKeyboardType -> 4 OverrideKeyboardSubtype -> 0 You may need to reboot for changes to take effect. The keybinds are ...

How do I make the zdoom exclusive hud bigger?
You know the HUD that when you press size up, you get a less cluttered hud right? Every time I set the screen resolution higher, the zdoom exclusive hud gets smaller. Is there any way to fix that? As to make it bigger? The other way to do this is lower the screen resolution, but I want it so that I ...

Re: Keybinds are weird on some computers.
Layer Driver KOR and Layer Driver JPN are normal. I have them on my machine, too, and I don't have any problems with it thinking my keyboard is Japanese. Do you have any additional keys in the registry entry? hmm let's see OverrideKeyboardIdentifier REG_SZ PCAT 106_KEY OverrideKeyboardSubtype REG ...

Re: Keybinds are weird on some computers.
So is there any other way to get rid of the japanese keyboard? Would simply unplugging the device work? Maybe. You could try. For your laptop, the keyboard is listed twice. Once as a USB keyboard and again as a Japanese keyboard. There may be some more information if you use RegEdit to look at HKEY ...

Re: [All versions] Heretic inconsistensies.
No such feature was ever in any version of Doom Heretic, not Doom. It's not exactly a feature, it's the way the game handles damage by lava. It slows you down and makes you movement somewhat jerky. It's like you are walking through thick mud (which is pretty realistic for lava, isn't it?). You can ...

Re: Keybinds are weird on some computers.
For the HP desktop, I don't want to remove the infrared receiver, because I still want to use it. So is there any other way to get rid of the japanese keyboard? Would simply unplugging the device work? This is from my asus laptop. Device Name: \\?\Root#RDP_KBD#0000#{884b96c3-56ef-11d1-bc8c ...
