If you are talking about shifting the vertices in 3 dimensions... doom would need mesh support... otherwise its just a crude texture warp.
I would say 'put in alpha texture support', but that would lead to 'put in q3 shader support' and on and on. Gotta draw the line somewhere, eh?

Though the concept is sound, bloom in doom is a big fat NO as far as I am concerned. Since when is it supposed to be realistic (plus doomguy is uber-tough and can see underwater just fine)? I do agree though that the screen-distorts get a tad bit old. High time to do something creative and software ...

A WarpScreen() acs effect could be put in... and simply have it trigger on a EyesBelowFakeFloor\Ceiling.... though enjay is right, in software mode, that could be a power beast.
Fortunately GZDoom should have no such qualms...

Megaman legends is easily one of the best psx games evar. Are you going to be including all of the scripting\cutscenes and whatnot?
Those texture and sprite rips are extremely well done. I do wonder at how rolls car will be handled... :\

I meant change_flats or whatnot. i.e. the chainsaw donut in e1.
Same thing when the flats get called to change via acs.
Total lockup.

One notable bug I found in gzdoom is that the program will just totally lock up when a flat tries to change in gl mode.

I don't know about the rest of you, but this seems pretty damn serious imo. ;)

Otherwise, great work graf; looking foward to what will come out of this.
