It could be (un)fixed if Randy wanted. If he couldn't it'd be 'can't fix' instead of 'won't change' (note that he says 'change' instead of 'fix' so he doesn't consider the current behavior a bug!) which clearly implies that he won't make any attempt to change this.

by TheDarkArchon » Tue Oct 05, 2004 1:44 pm

It means he won't fix it.

by whiteboy567 » Tue Oct 05, 2004 1:37 pm

what does wont change mean does that mean you cant fix it or wont fix it but either way that makes me a very sad panda :(

by Graf Zahl » Tue Oct 05, 2004 3:25 am

'Won't change'!

Heh, that's great. No risk from ghosts in the future as well! :P
Apparently I am not the only one who hates them like the plague!

I agree... However, with the way things are going, people are requesting sooo many compat. options that there may end up being more of these than DMFlag options!

Nevertheless, Ghosts are a good thing to have a compat. option for since they were used in some vanilla DOOM levels, and they are a kind of hack (like the silent BFG trick, which IS ALSO compat. option). :thumb:

Exactly. Which is why I can't understand it when Graf is sometmes so anti-option. I mean if there were options, everyone including him wold get what they wanted, but he'd rather just have what he wants (such as that Berserker pack thing we were discussing a while back).

The beauty of making things optional is that one person can have it the way he likes it while another makes a different choice and everyone gets their way.

LOL! No! :? :(

But will they take you. :P ;)

by GeeDougg » Tue Sep 28, 2004 4:19 pm

Ewww! YeahI definitely only want one option when it comes to sexuality (that is if you're taling about which way to swing). I'll take females thank you.

by HotWax » Tue Sep 28, 2004 3:36 pm

Except apparently when it comes to sexuality.

by GeeDougg » Mon Sep 27, 2004 5:27 pm

You see, that's what I always say! An "OPTION" would be the best thing!

by whiteboy567 » Mon Sep 27, 2004 1:36 pm

trust me mr. tee i would decorate if i knew how to and i also agree that it should be at least an option

Mr. Tee wrote: If you want ghosts, why don't you make DECORATE monsters with the NOCLIP flag?
Problem is that only works for ZDoom maps. It doesn't fix the issues for Vanilla maps that took advantage of the bug (Icarus, HR, Eternal Doom, and Requiem to name a few)

I'll agree with Hotwax that a compat option is the best solution.
