Well said, Lexus.

Anyhow, it seems the Gestapo has successfully ended this conversation. Thank god for the freedom of speech, huh?

by Lexus Alyus » Tue Aug 31, 2004 2:57 am

I'm going to be annoying again :D.

Firstly I'd like to state the following observation:

@Gee: Your a nice guyt an I like you. Please don't take this the wrong way because this statement is designed to help you, not hinder you :). I'm a nice guy and if I can explain someones problems to help them then I will, cus I'm nice like that :).

Anyway, the problem here is that you might not want a compatibility option but your argument suggests otherwise. If yuoud had just said in one of your posts that you don't like the bahavour and an option would be nice, but i'm not really bothered, then this could have easily been avoided. But you persistantly argued making itr seem that you would fight for such an option. You do this quite a lot, you just need to calm down and make your point and then relax :). Nobody hates you and I'm sure Graf doesn't like me that much eaither :D.

@Graf: Whyt the fuck did you have to bring up the chaingun thread? You know that that irritates hotwax and makes him ratty... what, are you tryoing to get Hotwax so wound up tha he woll do something really bad that will make randy ban him? I dob't know if that is true because can't see inside your head, but that is what it seems like, and if you ask me you are very childish if that is your aim. Stop regurgitating the past, stop irritating hotwax (because it irritates us because it makes Hotwax ratty) and stop all the nonesence. So, ytou don't like Hotwax, that's nice... therea re loads of people i don't like, but I don't wind them up... you moan about trolls? That's intresting because when you purposefully wind hotwax uo then your also a troll!

Haha... If I had any idea that this thread was going to cause such a shitstorm, I wouldn't have posted it in the first place.

Sheesh.

by HotWax » Sun Aug 29, 2004 10:33 pm

Well, don't worry. As long as you keep out of it, I promise it won't get any worse.

by wildweasel » Sun Aug 29, 2004 9:03 pm

I just want this thread closed before it gets any worse. I could care less about the Berserk effect, because after all, it's just a game.

by HotWax » Sun Aug 29, 2004 6:55 pm

That wasn't a flame, moron. Butting into a conversation you have nothing to do with and declaring martial law could be considered one, though. And now you're going to waste Randy's time by reporting that post? If you want him to rethink his decision to add the feature, keep it up.

by wildweasel » Sun Aug 29, 2004 4:53 pm

Too late. Unwarranted flames get warranted punishments.

by HotWax » Sun Aug 29, 2004 2:49 pm

Hey, WW, feel free to Nazi elsewhere. We're having a discussion and you're not invited.

Thanks.

by wildweasel » Sun Aug 29, 2004 1:18 am

The discussion is over. Randy said he's not changing it. So please, retreat to your rooms, and let's not have to use the report button.

No, because you're defining the word "option" as something it's not. :P

by randi » Sat Aug 28, 2004 7:56 pm

Well, I'm not changing it. Goodbye.

by GeeDougg » Sat Aug 28, 2004 6:34 pm

Graf, for the last time man, functionality in it's current form wouldn't have to be "removed", just modified (or just with an option added) that would allow the player to choose whether ot not they want it on or off. And anyways this is almost the opposite of the chaingun thread, because in this case you'd actually be limiting yourself to a set-time berserker effect, which means that you'd probably make it easier for yourself to just leave it on.

HotWax, it's OK that you don't agree with me (what is it, 253 to 3 now?! ); we all have opinions. I give mine, you give yours, Graf gives his, etc.. I personally think the Chainsaw is a close range weapon too and you could just use that, and while it may not be as powerful as the berserker-activated fists (which can have as much damage as Rockets) it's still a good alternative to the regular fists (as far as close-range attacks go anyway). And if leaving it the way it is (with the current berserker behaviour) is how you like it or how Graf likes it then that's OK. I don't even know how this thing turned into an argument. It seems whenever I step into a thread all of a sudden everyone becomes possessed. And now I seem to have pissed Graf off (which I didn't mean to do).

Oh, and no, Graf, I don't think you're crazy just 'cuz you disagree with me or with HotWax.

Edit: Giest, how exactly will that help?! :x

by Giest118 » Sat Aug 28, 2004 6:32 pm

SHUT THE FUCK UP BOTH OF YOU.

Okay? Thank you.

Just because I disagree with you? :?

So what you're saying is that adding a non-default sv_* option that doesn't show up in the compatibility menu because it's server side is apparently removing functionality? Interesting.

/me calls the men in white coats.
