Your gzdoom.ini is probably still messed up so you will have similar issues again at some moment.

The skins folder does not discriminate. If you want to load things ONLY in a certain game, see your INI.

ConMan3222 wrote: Fri Jan 27, 2023 6:24 pm Well, usually, I run it with ZDL 3 v1.1. The 'skins' folder is for DooM II's "Master Levels" and "No Rest For The Living" Expansions. The filesize of my "gzdoom.ini" file is too big to attach, weighing in at 223 KB.
But looks like your setup of GZDoom tries to load them even in case of Hexen.
edit:
Yes, looks like there can be an issue with your gzdoom.ini. My gzdoom.ini is only 93kb. So try to rename it (e.g. to gzdoom.ini.bak) then try to run GZDoom+Hexen.

The ini file is just a text file. So it should compress a lot if zipped up. So it could probably be zipped and attached here.

That is indeed a hefty ini file.
You could quote it here or better still, either rename it or delete it and let GZDoom generate a clean ini file, which you can attach here.

It should be a lot smaller if you zip it :)

(No Mods Loaded)
Looks like it loads some mods indeed. How do you run GZDoom? Also can you attach your gzdoom.ini ? And also what is that `skins` folder?

When I started playing HeXen: Beyond Heretic, it crashed on MAP01. This has been a problem with me recently, and I want to know what I did wrong to make it crash like this.
