Eh, to be honest I always found one liners like that really tacky. Sure, it's fine for the chainsaw or something kind of goofy as a weapon anyway, but I prefer something more direct and to the point for pickups, maybe with a little flavor text in it. For example, instead of "Picked up a shotgun" maybe you get something like "Picked up a UAC M43 Shotgun" or something. Same goes for ammo, WildWeasal's mods are pretty good about that, and a little lore text goes a long way.

I have to say, I was against changes to the SSG when the poll went up, but playing with the changes, it feels right. I'm doing a good amount of damage and not dropping to empty on shells in less than 4 seconds. Well played D4D team.

Would be easier if we know what's their official name. M43 is unheard one from doom universe.

And speaking of which, i've never heard any real official names of the every weapons in doom series except BFG 9000. if anyone actually know what's their official names, that would be a wonder!

I could have sworn Doom 3 had actual designations for the weapons in the PDA, but it could have been from a mod, I'll have to check on that. And yeah, there's no UAC M43 Shotgun, I just made it up to show how easy it is to do. :P

Edit: Found a couple in the Doom wiki.

Hello. Nice works!
I'm a big fan of the universe of DOOM and I'm pleasantly stunned that there were courageous team of people, who have managed to combine the two successful parts of old and new (OldSchool 90's years and modern's battle 2016 year.
But, at me to you two questions arose. I really would like to know the answer if possible.
1. What and where to edit the mod files so that when you start the game immediately showed the logo of DOOM with burning sparks, bypassing the displaying of the authors ? I want full immersion in the game, but I won't forget who created this miracle.
2. What and where to edit the mod files for that on the bottom right not display the version number of the modification ?
P.S. Sorry for my possible bad english. This language is not my main.

Just checking because I'm pretty sure I saw a post about this and the author may be on an older version, but just to confirm: Was this Gatling rotator bug fixed?

i just did the vid_renderer=0 thing twice and yet it didn't do anything

To be honest, when I with such a bug is encountered halfway through the game :D

All we know of Doom 4 weapons is this:
Pistol: UAC EMG Pistol (EMG = Energy Matter Gel)
Chaingun: Delta 12 Chaingun
BFG: UAC BFG 9000 Prototype
And that the Plasma Rifle (as well as Lightning Gun and Hellshot) seem to be in-house products of UAC as well, but this is nowhere stated explicitly.

@Caligari87: Doomguy is so manly he needs no ammo for his explosive Chaingun :chaingun: ! Also, kudos for Turbo Killer :rock:

I think this need brightmaps, and the pistol charge an animation muzzle, fire, flash thing during the charge.. looks so simply.
