[Project] Doom2 remake (Abandoned?)
@durnurd: this is the problem, you see - no consistency. I feel like I'm hijacking the project talking about this so much, but since the project leader hasn't posted on this thread in quite a while, nor replied to any PMs, there's not much else I can do. Once we have a project 'bible' up and running (provided the whole crew supports it, of course) things should become a bit clearer. At the moment, I consider this project more of a 're-imagining' of Doom II than a simple re-hash of the levels. We may need a brand new title in the vein of the Doom64 remake Doom: Absolution.
right I put up a forum on my domain which means no advertisements and total control

@The NUtcracker: good to have you back dude. I sent you a large PM, perhaps it didn't go through. I've pretty much said everything here since anyway.
We're now in the awkward position of having two forums opened. With all respect to jallaman, I prefer the one that Dancso has set up simply because it's phpBB-based, same as ZDoom.org. Anyone who wishes to view it can request the URL via PM, but we'll need to agree now.
EDIT - I meant Dancso. Sorry!

I think the forums are ready. We may need to post a few stickies and announcements, but it's mostly complete. There's also an uploading feature, for comfort lol! There is/will be a guide on how to use it.
You will get the site's domain in maybe a few minutes... Skippy is working on the last touches on the forum. (I dont know if it will be open to other people than project members...)
When you'll register, an admin needs to put your profile into the project members group, so you can see the development forums.
I've just picked a theme for the forums, you can choose between sub-silver and the other one, feel free to tell me if you notice something wrong about the new theme, or something's not see-able.
[EDIT]: I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow.

The forum URL will be PM'd to all current project members once Dancso comes back tommorrow. Once you have registered and Dancso has activated your accounts, we're on. FYI, the forum is only for development discussion and as such will not be open to non-project members. Any public discussion of the project (updates, demos, requests to join etc) should continue here in this thread.
I'm back! I've sent a PM to every project member (On 1st page on the volunteers list) I may have excepted somebody, or mis-typed something, so if you didnt get the PM, or you have something other problem, PM me about it.
So, the Development forums are now, OPEN!
(For project members only)
As Skippy said, this topic is now mainly for joining the project, and discussing.

Dutch Devil: Read what Skippy said on the previous page
We have an uploading place. We dont need to use any file hosters, or anything like that. No waiting time, etc.
And also, it could be useful so we could separate the development posts from the non-project member's posts.
So we could always see what happens where, everybody could have a topic for his own map, and stickied threads showing link to resource pack, and others etc...

@Dutch: what Dancso said. It's mostly to maintain project focus - we're on page 51 of this thread so far with not a hell of a lot to show for it. Also, it'll help reduce the risk of spoilers being given away.
There's nothing wrong at all with discussing the project here. I just feel that it'll help us all work together better, especially with a project of this magnitude, if we focus in on the fine details of the project. You may personally never need to use it, but I and probably quite a few others are going to need help reaching a similar standard. Give it a try - if it doesn't work for everyone, we'll think of something else.
Would you consider writing a few detailing tips for submission to the Documentation section of the project forum, Dutch?
