I had actually been considering a sledgehammer as one of the weapons, but I thought it might end up looking too similar to the axe, so I tried the crowbar first. Now that the sprite sets are done, edits aren't much effort.

It wouldn't be much work to add some leaves to the tree make it more symmetrical. Here is a quick fraknesprite spider:

Ettin edit for face and uhh...can't figure out other one
Shading is kinda bad honestly for this guy. Also need to figure out how to make him look non goofy. Also, in case you're wondering, his hands aren't on his knees, it's just perspective.
Maybe make his lightest parts darker?

The eyes are probably from an Ettin, the rest looks like Death Wyvern components.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!

Heretic / HeXen monster prototype. Gnarled Walker. Ent. Treecritter. We have none in the bestiary and I was hoping someone (maybe even me) would create an even better sprite. The HeXen tree and switch were used as a base, as they should be in the final version, but I'd also like to see more horn-like protrusions that curl backwards as well - all 8 rotations need to be interesting....
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Nice color, but why did you take the pistol off of him? The original sprite by Mr. Wolf had a pistol in his hand.Woolie Wool wrote:

Uh, only the Uzi guy carries his weapon at all times.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Okay, I must have overlooked then. The black guy with 2 pistols does though, so you could swap one of them onto him? I don't think terrorist would walk around with their guns holsteredWoolie Wool wrote:Uh, only the Uzi guy carries his weapon at all times.

They're soldiers, not terrorists, and rear-echelon troops on minor guard duty at that. Guards don't stand around with their pistols drawn all the time.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!

How's it going so far?
Edit: Holy smokes, the proportions are totally messed. I tried to make it look like he is "standing up straighter" when he starts to walk, but turns out he just gets bigger, which looks really bad. Each frame he is different size and proportions entirely. How can I fix this? try again from scratch, or can somebody more skilled doctor this for me? Perhaps when I finish all frames, somebody could "fix" them all for me? (I could send raw .pdn form) Hmm... Maybe make legs shorter or torso larger in third frame?
aside from really crap proportions, is shading okay?

Yep, the face is the face from the ettin plus an extra pair of copypasta eyes, and the legs are cut from the death wyvern's wings.NeuralStunner wrote:Korax and Wendigo!cypherphage wrote:cookie to whoever guesses which 2 hexen monsters were used.![]()

That tree monster doesn't make sense, the face should be asymetrical and look like its wooden. The hands in specific seems out of style.
