@hnsolo77: It crashed :( . I have no idea what is going on. It works for other Vista users, but not me? That doesn't make sense :? .

A more serious question that nearly got passed-up:
Is [clearing the inventory] necassary?
As I recall, each map needs to be completable from a "pistol start." I kind of force the issue just to ensure balance of the map. :?

"(ABORTED)-All levels will be pistol starts, just keep that in mind when using monsters or weapons (stupid rule, maps are sequenced via MAPINFO and you keep the weapons, so rule aborted)"
Not that it matters, it makes your map play exactly as you wish it to be played. :D

I thought the maps should be made for pistol start in case people decide to play each level individually. I don't think that one needs to force a pistol start. This is how most community wads are made.

EDIT: @hnsolo77: The bug report is up. I guess we will see what happens next. Hopefully I did everything right.

Exactly. I kind of like keeping ammo just a little tight, hence the lack of a backpack. Not only that, I don't know if hnsolo77 actually put a plasma rifle in on the previous map (or if anyone else did on OTHER maps beforehand, for that matter!).
... Speaking of which, I don't think ClearInventory() takes into account Backpacks. :o

*moan* :(

:P

ED: I'll admit it, that does look pretty slick. Hell, from some of the maps I've played in this project -- including both of Andrews -- it almost feels like 10 textures is a "generous" limit.

ED2: Final statistics for MAP11:
885 Vertices
1104 Linedefs
1676 Sidedefs
240 Sectors
206 Things

ED3: MAP11 is available for another go. Balanced for skills; UV's going to witness a nasty surprise that HMP will not.

@PDF: The map seems good to me. Good amount of ammo, good enemy placement and good details. The only thing though, is that when I pushed exit switch (I was running at the time) I moved off the elevator and it went down without me on it. Whether you chose to fix this or not is up to you.

And another go it got :P
I think the difficulty on UV is better and I like the chaingunner windows. The only thing that could be changed is the fact that there are no secrets at the moment. I think every level should have at least one secret.

I am not sure why Dread keeps crashing but it seems to have stopped on mine. I have no idea, it's very strange.

@PDF: I think the plasma gun turns up at least two or three times before your map, including MAP01 I believe. I'm under the impression that we weren't meant to clear the inventory, but TBH it might be considered necessary to stop the later maps being over-stocked by previous ones.

There is Plasma gun is on my first map(MAP04) for sure.

I still don't think we should use this function for this project. Most other community projects don't use this, so why would we?

That's why i modified this rule some time ago...it looks weird and nonsense to lose all your weapons...
So, PDF, do you mind if i delete that script?

@Phobus: the Plasma Gun appears for the first time in MAP04, then on MAP13, MAP15, MAP19...
