Then I solved the final ambush by putting IEDs against all the walls (and then firing a grenade with a ZM60 w/ GL that I found on the same level, lucky me!). The rest of the level was harder that the end thanks to that.

I solved the E1M6 red key ambush by... not triggering it at all.

Hey Vae, I think I succeeded in getting more hideous destructor videos, and more people playing it.

Okay, after watching all those videos and getting to E1M7 on my own, I just realized that...
I had no clue how to use bandages until now.
Not that it was a huge loss since I savescum like crazy and usually stay at pretty decent health anyway, so I rarely die from bleeding.
Someone give me a clue how to deal with Yokai, though, they keep harassing me, and I can't seem to kill them. Apparently they just vanish if I look away for a while?

Yokai are a lot like archviles. They take a certain number or pain states to "die". This means you need to just keep an eye out. Around 3 shots and they go away. Ignoring them just makes you eventually collapse from exaustion.
Also IIRC rockets or TB blasts instakill them..if you want to be sure.
@ silent , hes using one of the addons, check the list. Relatively new, good set. zikshadows

This is awesome. Michael65's stuff was really entertaining (that struggle in E1M6 and its key trap). Pretty much loved every minute of it.
Makes me wonder, will anyone try out episode 2? Chances of a thunder buster in E2M1 can make things entertaining.

Where might that be? I only see a run of E1 in your channel. Is it unlisted?

Oh, gotcha, my bad. I'll look forward to it then!
(BTW, watching your E1M3. The struggle IS real. HD sure makes you root for the player)

Re: Hideous Destructor [last update dated September 12, 2016
In other news, has anyone had monsters respawn on them at all? It seems I've broken skill level monster respawns somehow with this mod and never noticed until now...
(Also I love how the preview pic for SD's E1M3 vid is just this huge pile of meat by the door)
Agreed re: wet noodle grenades. Didn't think I'd need anything with much range since there's so much room for error it'll just be more stupid than deadly at longer distances and there's no throwing animation so it'd look a bit odd anyway.

To be fair vae, I think ANY blanket resurrection simply wouldn't be very fun in hideous destructor...... maybe instead, summoning vileshards, with a slider for how many per "volley" and how often? Say one every 3 minutes, or 4 every 6 minutes? Or an algorithm based on the map population....
