But they're so convenient!

Actually my first pair of glasses ever; when I was about 13 the optometrist scared me because my right eye needs a lot of correction, so he warned that glasses would make my face look lopsided. I went contacts instead. Finally got over that "I'll look like a fish-eyed freak" hurdle and decided to try glasses this year, and I love them.
Funny story about the cruiser, she was actually my grandparent's car first (that's where we got "Lulu" from, my grandma named her). They bought her at an auction for like $5000; someone had done all those mods then gotten the car repossessed. After we got married with no car, we were borrowing Lulu a lot, and eventually asked if we could buy her from them. They talked it over and decided to just
give her to us, for free.
She's getting old and falling apart, but the wife and I are gonna keep her as long as possible. If I had the money, I'd shell out in a heartbeat to get her fully restored, all the bodywork and paint, fix the random creaks and whines, etc. As is, we kinda just have to fix whatever breaks, which sadly is getting more and more often.
