Ok I don't wanna be harsh but heres what my beef is. Some of the new monsters look a little bit crazy. There are some promising ones too. Heres the deal though, even if you don't rework the sprites, the monsters are just rip offs. How can we tell? Simple.
For one download the abomination which looks pretty decent and try to summon it using the abomination command. Nothing. However if you look at it in the wad its encountered, its EXACTLY the same as the annihilator but the sprites for the attack look different. If you use summon annihilator, it even appears. So basically your fighting a beast with insane damage and crap health. Thats what all the monsters seem to be like. Heirophant is just thamuz with less health. Batman is the hades elemental with a insane health amount. You get my drift. The monsters themselves may not be terrible looking in alot of cases but they seriously need reworking in there attacks. I know they may appear different but its the same attack pattern of all the other beatiary enemies and anyone whos downloaded the entire beastiary would have seen this.

The maps is another story. I tried all these out (2 of them didnt even work, malcolm 1 being one of them, said unexpected end of file when i unzipped it) and most of the maps are slaughterfests on huge open areas. Alot of the later developed maps got better as they really started implimenting key doors and started gaining other areas like corridors, lifts, doors, exc. My main gripe is HEALTH and AMMO. Alot and when i say that i mean most of them, alot of these maps do not have enough health. Some dont have enough ammo or dont when you encounter a certain group of monsters then they will after you would have needed the ammo. Alot of these I had to rely on infighting to get anywhere and a few were impossible to beat even in this manner. You should never have a shotgun in the first room, roll through a hallway with ssg enemies, then ancounter a room with a mastermind and have 20 shells and no cover to fight it with. Otherwise, I did enjoy the slaughterfest and beat most of the maps. Liked the beastiary monsters as well (tormentors).

Again overall interesting and shows promise. Just redevelope your monsters attacks so they arent recognizable and they are new attacks and you got a few good monsters on your doorstep. Ahhh yes the other thing I forgot. The enemies on your beastiary have descriptions of there attacks. Half of those dont even exist, for instance, the archnotank thing says it has a rocket launcher, chaingun and it runs over target. it doesnt, it just has a chaingun making it the same as a chaingunspider. The abonination says it has twin rocket launchers and twin chainguns. It has the rocket launchers but no chainguns and has the twin homing rockets (as phoenix blasts) making it an annihilator. Change these to the attacks on your beastiary and were set. I know you said you would rework alot of these so take your time, just letting you know. Again much promise in alot of these.

Yeah i am very looking forward to eventually learning to make decorate from scratch. and the earlier maps were made when i didn't know much about map making.

Note, the front page on my site will be a news stand.

Yes and I understand that, hence thats why I added what I did in the last part of my message. Like I said alot of the things showed alot of promise and these things take a while to learn. (Heck I havent started any of this crap yet!) Either way I still had fun in alot of these levels and that is ultimately what counts. Keep up the work bro, I would love to see alot of these in the near future.

You've handled this all in a mature manner, and you have responded to our criticisms quite well, so I kinda' like you.

Again, a lot of those monsters just need to go. However, there are a few that stood out to me that, though they may be of dubious quality, I think have plenty of potential.

Allow me to post that the creature in your avatar is a righteously cool edit. Or would that be hot? Hmm...

It is. The fire-limbed mauler demon is actually pretty sweet.

Some very good ideas there. While the quality is indeed low, the concepts seems to be pretty cool. As said before, with enough experience, this guy(s) could be great franken-sprite editor(s).

Do you think he's better or do you miss the old one more.

Hey I gotta tell you, the new abomination does look really awsome. My only gripe with it is maybe making the mouth on it a little bit smaller? As it is it looks like his mouth is bigger than it is cabaple of being open, also maybe putting in a few bloody spots like in the old abomination. I must say great work on this one though!

The ones I liked the most and definatly wanna see finished soon are as follows:
Abomination (above suggestions listed)
Cacolord (liked it when it was black)
Doppleganger (give it the staff again lol)
Forsaken Wyvern
Infernal Demon
Gargoyle Baron
Hells Infernal

Also I know you removed them but when you had the berserk hunter sprited as the brusier demon, that looked insanely awsome. I wanna see that one done or at least something like it! :D Again those are the really good looking ones, keep up the great work.

Yeah, right now i'm making the cybcubus and it should be done soon, and maybe later i will resprite the abomination to make it look like the pic on the website.
And i feel like doing the unicron's infernal soon for a future map with all the inferno monsters. And i plan on the unicron's infernal looking like what a bruiser demon would look like in Doom 3.

Again I'll tell you that most monsters currently lack rotations for attacking and pain. They'd look bad when fighting someone else than you. Also, the poison erchen's frame PNGs are so large, that ZDoom slows down.

I really like the edits, but I could only put them in my wads if their attacking and pain animations were complete. The only one complete is this: the furyvenom demon.
