Anywho, here is the first test animation of the new Doom Marine. Yes, he's weaponless, I'm actually doing the whole sheet with him weaponless for folks like Ghastly and Xim who do the weapon marine skins. :)


There is a bunch of tweaking I need to do, but so far I'm liking it. Thoughts?

Only things I don't like about it are the torso and helmet. The animation on them looks rather stiff compared to the rest of the sprite.

But Chrono is right about the helmet though ;o, it's stiff, YET, you said you had tweaking to do so, no complaints here.

I think the torso looks quite cartoon-y for some reason. Think its those thick shadows just inside the shoulders. Very good job though.

There are some issues, basically the shading, the lack of a handle, and the fact that a far more badass rifle has been done before, because it is still in progress.

This started out as an attempt to center the Freedoom SSG, but in a fit of laziness, I took the barrel that I have already skewed and pasted it onto the left barrel. I also drew in a center bar to replace the brown spot on the right barrel.

I highly doubt THAT'S a LHC. More like a weapon that unleashes some ungodly eldritch horror as soon as you fire it.

EDIT: What would be even scarier is that the gun unleashed a certain eldritch abomination I'd best not talk about now.
