Spoiler:I can't believe I stuffed 15000 sidedefs into a 1024 map. How shameful

Re: WHAT THE HELL are you working on
Working on my 1024 map 'Nil' again. I was going to take some in-game screenshots but...I'd rather wait until I'm done adding items/monsters and such. So here's a DB shot full of jubbled up lines instead.

Actually that allows you to be pretty cool.Mechadon wrote: I can't believe I stuffed 15000 sidedefs into a 1024 map. How shameful
That screenie is really amazing.
Re: WHAT THE HELL are you working on
I could play Minesweeper with that screenshot. Except instead of mines you have black pixels where the map grid is actually visible.

Did you ripped it from a RE game or you got it from some half life mod? Is this for TCOTD?Tormentor667 wrote:
I was searching for that kind of RE model.

Anyone can jam so many linedefs in such a small space. It's how you organise them to actually make them look good that makes you talented.Well, that really shows your mapping talent.

That screenie shows pretty much that it's a well-made map.

How do I know that? It's too zoomed out. I also don't know the height variation, the monster layout, etc.§-Morpheus-§ wrote:That screenie shows pretty much that it's a well-made map.
You don't know, until you've actually played.
Mechadon, I'm not trying to doubt you, Im trying to prove a point.

Re: WHAT THE HELL are you working on
Knowing Mek's mapping skills, it already looks good to me.
But you're right, that might not be the same for other mappers. :/
