Re: csb98 beta version (relased) /link fixed
Ok so I just played a little bit of doom 2 with this,I never played counterstrike so it was nice to see the type of weapons are in the game,The randomization factor was nice and some of the weapons were neat,Now i have some suggestions for the full release
1.More silencers,I would love for every weapon possible to have a silencer
2.More Weapons,Why not?
3.Make the silencer fire unditectable to enemy,Adds a stealth factor to it
Other than that it's a pretty decent Weapons mod

You could always make this strife compatible,it would go over very well with the silenced weapons

This doesn't run very well - GZDoom 1.3.17 SVN 652(?), Pentium D 3.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM, GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB. When using a new weapon, the game lags down severely as it tries to load every frame of the gun. While I'm sure it was very tedious to add all these weapons (since you had to define Textures entries for every single frame), the effort really doesn't seem to pay off, as the weapons do feel very samey because of Doom's bullet logic not being as advanced as CS's. Accuracy doesn't seem to count for anything, making the preferred weapons either the M249 (as you don't have to reload as often) or the Arctic Warfare (as it's the most powerful and will ultimately be most useful against Cyberdemons).
I'm not trying to be overly negative towards your project, but it doesn't really seem like Counter-Strike's weapon set is really useful in Doom.

All the more reason to make it strife compatible

Strife is going to have the exact same problems. The only weapons worth using will likely be the silenced M4 (for everything) and the AW/M (for everything that doesn't require stealth).trooper077 wrote:All the more reason to make it strife compatible

Re: csb98 beta version (relased) /link fixed
well this is a beta, and the intention is only show the weapon capability and the real intention is transform this into a multiplayer mode, with cs maps, with players, with buy menu,etc...not cyberdemon , no doom enemies....make more feeling a cs game...i dont know if gzdoom can be perfect for that, i was trying to make this for skulltag but for the moment skulltag is not totaly compatible with the recent codes, for example, a_zoomfactor, i need to wait a time...wildweasel wrote:This doesn't run very well - GZDoom 1.3.17 SVN 652(?), Pentium D 3.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM, GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB.
