I meant the first movie, Alien, in regards to having a claustrophobic deep space feel. I know there was only one alien in the first, but I guess this WAD could have a few; maybe like 10 in the span of 3 small-medium sized maps? The player could also be forced to ration weapons and health, to make it more challenging. I'm thinking of something short and sweet. Basically, the player will have to make their way through a ship in deep space, in order to make it to the escape pod.

Sounds awesome, have you seen the trailer or gameplay of the new Alien Isolation game? It's actually based on the first movie, and is about Ripleys daughter.
Has a lot of movie quality atmosphere, and the same feel as the first movie. Would definitely check it out for inspiration, and the maps look beautiful.

I'm actually really looking forward to Alien: Isolation. Also, I just finished playing Aliens TC again; truly a brilliant WAD.

On a side note, I actually tried implementing that Alien sprite I made, but its a little too large to be a regular xeno. I tired to shrink it, but i dislike how much it reduces to quality of the original sprite. I guess I'll have to do it all over again; I made it while I was on lunch at work.

You can always change the scaling in the actor's code. No quality loss this way.

Just chiming in to say something like this would be really nice to see. I love SR and it's one of my favourite mod packs but having a more indepth RPG system to it would be fantastic (it's one of the longest mods I've played and would actually justify such a system)

Here's a glimpse of things to come. I decided to give my full attention to making the Aliens themed wad, and putting my other project on hold. Once I'm done, I'll create a thread.

The pixels actually look a bit different on the sprite sheet I'm still making. Are the graphics setting re-sizing them for the perspective?

What about a remake of "Goldeneye64" Doom 2 mod ? I have some pretty cool ideas and I could help editing some sprites.I gathered some material that we can use for this "project" ^^

Okay since I think that you need some infos I'll give them to you here :)

I really love the Goldeneye TC but in this day and age it seem kinda basic and limited in contrast to mods like "Legacy Of Suffering" or "The Ultimate Torment & Torture".

The mod is part N64 and part movie based, and our goal is to make a more realistic attempt to recreate the feeling of James Bond in the movie not the Nintendo game.

I will upload some reference pictures, ideas and other stuff if anyone is interested.

Since I'm not experienced with coding/modding I could only edit sprites, design props/backgrounds/splashscreens etc. and give some creative advice.

I think it would be cool to see a mod that takes the weapon functions of the Shadow Warrior reboot, at the very least just a katana add-on to play around with since it was really fun to use

you could call it Sha-doom Warrior

Awesome Drone Alien. Will you have Warriors, Runners, and Queens as well? Would love to see a Runner, as I see very few four-legged Doom monsters.

I'm strongly considering it. I'm thinking about making this project an E1 replacement. Sort of like a homage to the Aliens TC, which is coming towards its 20th anniversary.

What textures you plan on using? AVP2 http://doomworld.com/afterglow/textures.shtml has some great Alien textures,

I ripped all fonts + some extra stuff from the game. Maybe it's useful for something. :D

I'm going to make the wall textures, and pipe decorate things myself, but I plan on using weapons downloaded off of Realm667, like the pulse rifle, smartgun, and flamethrower.
