I think raymoohawk made some awesome variations of Pinkies back in the days. And i'd like to see the King Pinky, if you tell me!NantoCodd wrote:Doom RPG have w the most underrated monsters in Doom series. Chainsaw demons, VIOS, Mother Pinky...
Someone should make mother pinky monster for ZDoom. Maybe her abilities is spewing pinkies at high speed on your face. And because pinkies can't fly like Lost Souls, when she spews you from high ground the pinkies splat on impact...

I have a vested interest in bringing the Doom 2 RPG beasties to ZDoom, but they'd probably have to be mostly resprited from scratch for a number of reasons, and nobody with the skills is especially interested.

the Doom 2 RPG is loaded with useless looted items, which i have no idea why that is. but it's kind of amusing, and at least it doesn't load your actual inventory with junk items, like certain ZDoom mods have.

Vial of something green? That's totally a Star Trek joke.

What's in common between Action Figure, Bottle Opener, and Human Ear?

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
I had a stupid idea earlier:
You know how Dehacked works by replacing strings in a Doom 2 executable?
What if you made a source port where anything you could reasonably make into a string IS a string? Floats, integers, etc. would all be strings that eventually get parsed into their respective types. Horrendously inefficient, and, in all honesty, wouldn't bring that much new to the table... but it'd be an impressive novelty!

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Could be done but it begs the question ... "why?"
Technically, ZDoom already is such a port when you're talking in terms of what DEHACKED does because everything already is read in as a string. But internally, they are converted to their appropriate binary types for more efficient processing later on.

I need to learn how to mod with DEHACKED. Yes, I know it's a step down, but there are a couple of applications where I'd find it to be most useful...

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
The simplest way is get the actual program, open DOSBox, play around with doom2.exe and change values and save the file out. ZDoom should then be able to load that file with the changes you made.

No, no... I meant with mods themselves...
Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Finally tracked down a Cheat Engine table for Dark Souls that has a camera-detach script. So now I can take awesome screenshots of the awesome vistas in the game without my character bring front-center. I like this one, too.
I'd like to be able to do this with Dark Souls 2 and 3, but I've heard the anti-cheat on those is pretty twitchy.

Are you a magic user wearing Gwyndolin's helmet, or is that the Sun Maggot?Ghastly wrote:Finally tracked down a Cheat Engine table for Dark Souls that has a camera-detach script. EDIT: Why is WildWeasel's name a bold red color now?

Magic-user with Gwyndolin's helmet. Went for a Dexterity/Pyromancy build that actually works pretty well in PvP. It's pretty funny when you start casting Great Chaos Fireball, you unlock and drop it at your feet and it catches them because they rushed you and it casts faster than they were expecting.Devianteist wrote:Are you a magic user wearing Gwyndolin's helmet, or is that the Sun Maggot?
