I'm likin' the new sprite. Much more clean looking.

I could take a hack at the helmet sprite, since I do love it. Would involve taking stuff out, though, like enemies killed, secrets, etc.

Nah, I got it working.

I'm not a fan of this hokey fake techno aesthetic at all, it just clutters up my screen to the detriment of gameplay.

Not much of a fan of any visor HUD; it obstructs so much. Unless you had a set up where you switched between no HUD (like setting your screen size option to like 12) and it showed nothing but you could switch back to your visor for your HUD...I don't know. Plus, every visor HUD I've used doesn't scale right vertically for my HUD (SargeantMarkV's and WildWeasel's.)

I'll still on the face about semi auto/pump. I really like both, but I don't really have a reason to use pump anymore. It's practically obsolete. I mean, unless you're going up against zombies without cover, the jamming is really, really quick and easy to clear. It's practically a flat out upgrade. For a company that cheaped out and bought a bunch of mass produced, crappy (by that age's standard) rifles, I don't see why they'd blow their small arms weapons budget on shotguns. It's like another case of the semi auto only rifles and every other option.

have you tried deleting any interfering SBARINFO files? its usually the problem with scaling.

Oh trust me, it's not that. WW's new-ish mod "DoomNukem" (aka Accessories to Murder) has the problem too with just one. I just use fullscreen HUDs all the time anyway, unless I'm playing Doom Retro.

Hmm on-topic...why do healer imps have more hitpoints than every other? I mean, I understand they heal the quickest, but I wouldn't imagine the little guy being able to take the most abuse in one given instance.

I like the visor - I know it's psuedorealistic and gimmicky, but it does add to the immersion, even in Brutal Doom or WildWeasel's stuff. Then again, I have a 1920 x 1080 monitor. :V

As for the pump/semi, the only time I use semi is if I'm taking down a Cacodemon. I've had rounds fail to cycle on me one too many times... also, I keep forgetting there is a semi-auto fire mode. I have an obsession with racking slides, okay.

Can you do that? I thought ToP had custom monsters, and figured that would interfere with HD's coding.

load HD after. i havnt had a problem with any custom monsters other than them being rather easy to defeat, IF they load in. KDIZD doesnt like to work with HD...unfortunatly.

forum members with different opinions on shotguns, one saying pump is useless and the other insisting on pump for reliability
:*)

I think when I first set them up I thought the healer imps were getting killed too quickly and too early, hence the combination of slower movements (to keep them in the back) and more hitpoints.

On further reflection I should probably make them regenerate faster instead.

Bug report! Hellknights/hellknaves tend to aim waaay too high with their spray attack (that is, the one without the throwing animation) if their target is on a lower plane than them. This isn't a problem at longer ranges (since their fireballs are homing) but it's really evident near ledges/elevators when you're below the hellknave.
