it still needs some improvements but itll do for now
it looks pretty cool, but it's too dark imo. i can't make out any discernible information from the guy's clothes at all. maybe it'll look better ingame, though.
the Cacodemon is pretty cool though, but it has a bit of a clashing colour scheme. flesh-coloured skin, blue horns, yellow eye and red fangs? it looks a bit too comical to me. it'd probably look better with a more complimenting set of colours. the shading, however, is pretty spot on and a DEFINITE improvement.

Gonna have to get on the other bandwagon on this one. Show me some POV sprites. Otherwise we're just farting out pickup sprites for no reason.

What's wrong with intestinally passing pickup sprites for no reason? It's fun and relatively lazy!

But since I'm working on pickups for weapons I need to make HUD sprites for anyway, I humbly request your criticism (and possibly your aid) regarding this edit of CaptainJ's M1 Garand:

Basically, apart from any other glaring issues it has, it needs a wide, futuristic scope, as per the pickup sprite. If you would be so kind as to retaliate in kind, I would appreciate it greatly.

I know I said that I didn't really like that M1 Garand, but because of that awesome sprite, I say use it. :)

@TheRailgunner
Well, the entire body could probably do with some sort of touch-up to go with the futuristic goal. Fold or remove the sights and get to drawing a futuristic battle scope... which will be a pain in the ass.
Or you could go all fancypants and keep a peep-sight as part of the scope. Look below, see iron sights in... uh, sight tunnel. Look above, see scope.

Here is my attempt to draw a revolver. Some feedback would help me on what to add and what to remove. I will try to shade after that.

@raymoohawk I like the FreeDoom imp. It's got a horrible (in a good way) centipede kind of vibe to it. I was playing the new FreeDoom yesterday and your improved soldiers really made the current imp stand out as needing some work done.

The frog with a mouthful of chaingunner is still too busy and hard to work out what's going on IMO. Nice idea but I'm not sure it can be done justice with so few pixels.

carbine, enjay thanks for the encouragement, that is probably going to be the design ill use for the imp, but im not sure if to change the colors. ill probably discard discard the frog thing, but not without trying a little more first.

I think the cylinder isn't long enough. Also, maybe the gun's a little bit too tall? The higher the barrel is in relation to the grip, the more kick it would have.Image

I've been going nuts making and editing CaptainJ style World War II Sprites.

The difficult part is...well, all of it, but the scope is the most difficult of all of the above.

I'm thinking that this may end up being a better base for the M0:

It still needs a futuristic body and said scope, but I honestly like Sinael's M1 rip a tad more than the CaptainJ M1 (no offense, hopefully).

I have never seen Sinael's M1 Garand. Here is a touched up revolver made by Sergeant Shivers. I made the barrel longer, darkened the rear sights, and made a few shades here and there. Hammer animation, anyone?
