rofl! I'd prolly do the same if I were him. That beginning is tough.

@CtrlAltDestroy- I know about the shotgun chaingun and rocket launcher, but u cant get past the monsters (especially the baron) with only your pistol. YOu should make at least one weapon available to the player thats not guarded by monsters.

And dont worry about sniping at me. I expect things like that when I make certain comments (not that its a bad thing ;) )

I played the start 3 times, and died horribly each time. I'm not going to subject myself to any more torture.

I'll put it for you simply. I'd rather shove a cactus up my ass than play your WAD. It's utter shit. Delete it, disown it, and move the fuck on.

I haven't played it yet... But I'd say... Remake it. Open it in Doom Builder, and make it better. Make it freakier. Make it perhaps a bit easier. Make it just plain messed up and psychotic. And make sure to make great use of those Zdoom features, too! And now to play it and see for myself.

Let me get this straight.

This map is shit mainly because it is HARD. Nobody can seem to beat it without resorting to cheating.

...well, to put it bluntly, that would be YOUR problem, not mine! I am perfectly capable of beating the beginning, and the entire map at that... See demo.

Well, I played through a great deal of it (and yes, with using IDDQD, but just for testing purposes), and I didn't have to IDCLIP or anything. I think it's actually a very good idea for a map, and rather decently executed, although with a few flaws. Sometimes things are a bit vague, as to where you need to go next, but once again, considering what it's supposed to be like... Ggrrr... I wish I had had this idea earlier... Like I said... Remake it. Or make a sequal or something. Quitting altogether just because people say that you should isn't all that good of a reason... You see, that's why you make something even better, and come back, and everyone's like "Holy crap!" and stuff.

As soon as I finish up all my other projects, I should really get back into wad editing. I think I could make something cool.

Here's another demo... For not saving, this is a pretty darn far way to go. I almost got to the second cyberdemon, and I was killed at my favorite part.

I think everybodys first mapping attempt = shit
I have an example of my earlier work. It is a megawad project I started but never finished but the maps looked like shit. But now Im bringing it back and starting fresh. Long Live The Fray :P

Actually, that was NOT my first mapping attempt. THIS was my first mapping attempt. You might find this 10-level wad to be a bit more... normal?

Level 9 is the most well-made one, IMO. Level 4 is also pretty cool.

Edit: The file is too big, and it looks like Filespace.org is temporarily down...
