@Tormentor667
I don't know if it's just a Windows 10 problem or not, because I played the Wolfenstein 3D TC before on Windows 7 with just a regular version of GZDoom & ZDoom and it worked. The versions you can find off their official website and not development builds. Now whenever I do use the ZDoom from the official website and do the Wolfenstein 3D TC on Windows 10, I get a weird error that looks like the picture below. Anyhow, somebody told me to fix this I needed to get the latest development build of ZDoom @ http://devbuilds.drdteam.org/zdoom/ . It does work and lets me into the game, but the player models are all fucked up. Is there anything you know that might fix the offsets for player sprites?

FIX FOR UNEXPECTED CHARACTER ERROR AND PLAYERMODELS!!
Okay, fuck what I said earlier I have finally found out what was wrong with the player models and the unexpected character problem many people are having. I remember when it used to work for me. I played the Wolfenstein 3D TC back in February of 2015 with one of my friends. Then all of the sudden he wants me to play it again with him and I'm all like alright I'll do it. I don't have it installed anymore so I go onto the website and download it. I get a weird ass error that says unexpected character. Then I go online to find a solution, some dude told me to get the latest version of ZDoom (some development build). I'm all like FUCK YEAH ILL GET IT! But then I was like FUCK NO! Because the player models were all like jacked up as shit. It was like I was some ghost. Then I looked at the version on the website it said 4/13/2015 and I knew that's what was probably wrong, cuz like I said earlier I played it earlier than that in February. So what I did was I used the waybackmachine to travel all the way back before the shitty 2.0.1 version was released. So if you want the version of Wolfenstein 3D TC (ver 2.0) that really should work like it should then get it here ---> https://mega.nz/#!CYx3hYjb!F6T8HJ9zzV76 ... loD7Y80hOU . Then don't get no development build shit of ZDoom, just get the regular version here ---> http://zdoom.org/Download . Just install the two like you usually would and have fun!

Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 2.0)
That's just pure bullshit.
The regular versions are ancient. I bet more than 65% of the recent mods on this forum won't run on the latest stable release.
Just get a dev build. From everything I've seen, the dev builds are more stable than the stable builds.

Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 2.0)
The player sprites being "missing" is likely a bug with the mod that should be addressed, not worked around by playing an old, unmaintained version of it on an old, unmaintained version of ZDoom.

@phantombeta & @wildweasel
Phantombeta, it's not complete bullshit for this mod at least. You're thinking about the recent version that came out 4/13/15. That one will not work with a stable version of ZDoom. Even though the stable version is sort of old compared to the development build, the older version works perfectly with the stable release. You can try it if you want to. Also, wildweasel (hey, sexy!), I know it may of been a bug, but since the version was released since April that means this problem has been going on this long and I don't know if afadoomer has been doing anything about it. Some people may have not looked as deep as I have into it, because I play the multiplayer and it wouldn't be the same for me if I couldn't see my bud. But I do disagree when you said "not worked around by playing an old, unmaintained version of it on an old, unmaintained version of ZDoom." Because it should, 'cuz who knows when he'll fix it for now. When people look up about help for this thing they usually go here for advice on how to fix their problems. I don't really know what's too different about the new version anyway. I know that I helped a lot of people by posting that, because people have sent me messages. I know Phantombeta you might be mad at me, but this is just a workaround for the Wolf 3D TC I have found so far. Maybe some day afadoomer will fix the recent version or even make a new one. Only time will tell...
Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 2.0)
You're special. Be patient. I have a life and a job that take priority over this. For now, read like 5 pages back in this thread where someone gives the manual fix action for the player sprites.

I can understand that, but you don't have to call me a retard. I'll look back and see if it says anything, but the thing I said works too.

You were not called a retard. Re-read the post.TrueBlueHH wrote:I can understand that, but you don't have to call me a retard. I'll look back and see if it says anything, but the thing I said works too.
Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 2.0)
I never said that. What sad world do you live in where being called special means you are mentally handicapped?
I'll limit my responses to specifically mod related from now on.

Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 2.0)
Yeah, I guess that would work. But is that only for GZDoom, because I can't find a textures.txt?

Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 2.0)
You may need to create one, and copy/paste the contents of that code block into it.TrueBlueHH wrote:Yeah, I guess that would work. But is that only for GZDoom, because I can't find a textures.txt?
Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 2.0)
You can add to the one in Wolf3D_Common.pk7. That's where the player sprites are. This will work for both ZDoom and GZDoom.TrueBlueHH wrote:Yeah, I guess that would work. But is that only for GZDoom, because I can't find a textures.txt?

Sorry for the FIX post
I was just frustrated at the time, because I wasn't sure what to do. I should of looked deeper in the forums but thanks for helping me though.

@AFADoomer
How would I add it to Wolf3D_Common.pk7?
