[QUESTION] Unofficial Build, and what's Graf's project?
zen church no longer lags, although the stacked sectors get moderatly broken
also I noticed that some lighting flickers/changes brightness when you move around. On parts of my WIP you can stand still and you would think I had set up phased lighting or something

Could it be an option? How much work would that take?Graf Zahl wrote:They are not lower. It's just that a depth buffer implementation cuts off the parts of the sprite that are below the floor. The problem here is that I have 2 choices:LK873 wrote:Hmm, anybody else notice some things are lower into the ground? like barrels are kinda a quarter into the ground?
1. Do nothing and leave this effect
2. Lift the sprite up.
I chose to do a mixed solution. For monsters and pickup items I lift the sprite up if it doesn't go too far into the ground. But for most decorations that doesn't look too good so I leave them as they are. Needless to say there will always be some cases where it doesn't really match. But I think my solution gives the best overall results.

What graphics card do you have?
@LK873: I'm having no problems with the lights. They work fine for me.
@Willis: Zen Dynamics Map04 is a true stress test for stacked sectors. I'm sorry that this map probably won't ever fully work. It uses some tricks that heavily abuse the way the software renderer works and these are hard to emulate. As for your map, can you send it to me that I can check out the effect? Lighting really shouldn't be a problem.

How are you loading them?Graf Zahl wrote:@LK873: I'm having no problems with the lights. They work fine for me.
[edit]
NVM I got it. I dragged and dropped ZDoomGL.wad onto GZDoom and it worked, guess i'll put a copy in the skins folder so i don't have to keep doing that.
