I was having fun with ravage's crossbow sprites and the Arbalest by Xaser, came up with a neat reload animation and thought I would share it here.

That's pretty cool! All it needs is an awesome ethereal "whoosh" noise when the arrow appears and when the string draws back.

I'd suggest the item-respawn sound from quake 3 arena to be honest...

I've modded some of the frames to have bodkin tipped bolts. Not much work, to be honest, but maybe it'll find some use outside of my project.

Can anyone here re-upload everything here that vanished from imageshack? As usual I'm late to the party after I remembered to get everything here, and all the best stuff is gone :(

These are both great!! Kudos for your work! :D

I know your primary target is Heretic / HeXen, but do you think it would be possible to have a DOOM-gloved version of that shuriken-throwing hand? :wink: :wink: :wink:

I've seen a complete set somewhere around the forums but I can't seem to find it now.

Thanks for the heads up! :)

In fact I knew about that idle frame conversion you linked, but I never managed to find the set you mentioned. In any case - and not to derail too much from the thread topic, which revolves around Heretic and HeXen - if it doesn't show up, I'll try to make the conversion myself. :wink:

for some reason the images are displayed as a orange frog with a grey background and the text "click and discover imageshack".
and when i click it it links to the main imageshack website. help is appreciated.

Imageshack deleted the original posts. I'll reupload all my old stuff when I get home next week.
