Re: The official "ZDoom on Linux" thread.

I've been having similar problems as others with the sample_flac.h file. I just downloaded the src from the website, just installed fmod and flac, and I get the "cannot declare variable ‘loader’ to be of abstract type ‘FLACSampleLoader’" error. I just switched over to Ubuntu about a week ago (just ...

The level was released to the idgames archives a few weeks ago. Doomworld finally got around to reviewing the newstuff, and this level got a scathing (read: absolutely no) review.

If anybody wants to play the finished version, it's at:

http://doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=14979

Or, if you ...

I think the "Hell On Earth" theme would only apply if we were "updating" all of the levels instead of the more general theme we have of "updated levels, or completely new, if you want, you know, whatever floats your boat". Something more generic, perhaps. Or more of a strict theme that would fit ...

It is based on color mixing, that thing which you can see near nazi is solution, you need to know RED+GREEN=YELLOW

Ahah... well, I don't think people will be able to figure that out in the time alloted by the Nazi shooting them in the face continuously. You may want to make it a bit easier to ...

The puzzles are a little confusing. My first several thoughts were along the right lines, but just a bit off, and I could generally only try one or two things before being killed. Very frustrating. My first thought was to copy the shapes that were by the Nazi (a red Tetris T-shape and two green ...

I think perhaps, to avoid any more confusion, either the demo should be taken down, or at least updated with the same seven levels with the current updated DECORATE etc. so that we don't get any more confusion with anything.

The braces don't (Read: shouldn't) make any difference. My suggestion to you is to first replace all of the actions with other, more noticeable things, like:

Print(s: "test1"); //Ceiling_RaiseByValue(52,1,80);
Print(s: "test2"); //Floor_RaiseByValue(82,1,80);
etc...

Then run the script to see if ...

Sound sequences are for doors and platforms. I don't believe any other movement runs a sound sequence. This is based on assumption, and the fact that only "door" and "platform" are defined in the [wiki=SNDSEQ]Sound Sequence Wiki page[/wiki]

No. The idea of the converter is that it converts it perfectly. I have tried with two maps, and both converted without problems.

If you have already built your map in ZDoom/Doom2 format, you can convert it using a utility here:
http://www.3ddownloads.com/showfile.php3?file_id=7930

(Use ZWADConv)

I mean that the burn was usable in GZDoom, and we're using ZDoom, and the latest release of ZDoom does not support burn damage type, and since the demo's release, it has been clarified that we aren't using GZDoom

Perhaps the full decorate code would be useful. Are you sure it's not something else that's giving the monster invincibility?

@protojo The reloading weapons have been removed altogether. This negates these problems.
