SKINDEF Feature request

Post by Cutmanmike »

.

NOTE: Please ignore this for now. I wrote this up and never bothered
to write the code that implements it. Some of these things are
already obsolete, such as the use of death1-death4. A single
death sound with a random choice like in SNDINFO would be better
and more flexible.
I wouldn't call this a feature request but still, it'd be nice to have it implanted right? or is it already? I always thought the skins were a bit un-flexible

As in allowing the use of Death1-Death4 in SNDINFO? I find the random choice function much better, and would rather he put in the Q3-style pain sounds (ie. different pain sounds depending what health level you're at, ie a simple OOF for 75-100, serious screams at 1-25...)

That's already in there. In fact, the format of entering them has changed slightly, but that has been a feature since at least ver 1.22, maybe earlier.

Hmm, for some reason it wouldn't work the last time I tried it - probably because I was using the old method. I'll try it again sometime.
