Sounds like the same problem as:

No worries, it seems a very common problem, the only way around this knowen at this time is (i know this may seem obvious...) is not to shoot the enimy unless you have saved recently or you dont mind crashing... also its best that if you have experinced a crash dont shoot them there as you know its a hot spot!
In all cases i seen so far its been near water/sludgey smily stuff, i'd go for it having something to do with that, though i may be wrong
