Why not just turn on god mode? Then you don't even have to wait for your death animation to finish or anything.

I think the dmflag "Spawn Where Died (Coop)" would be a nice edition, not to say that its technically cheating but for some people it comes in handy when you want to make the game more intersting. I would also hope too see the bot improvements but those are not really that important.
