This would be a nice tweak to have globally, seeing as you can do some wacky bobbin' while walking through high or low friction areas. :trippy:

Another option to consider adding. A "Bobspeed" factor, at least for the vertical bobbing, so when for example you're slowed down, you don't look like you're bouncing up and down on crack/sugar when you're moving around. :P

Oh, most certainly - since it apparently seems that even speed reductions from PowerSpeed will make trails.

I would also like to see a solution for this.

Wow, I hate to necro this topic, but I too was wondering about this option very recently and I searched "PowerSpeed" and found this topic to be already here [and the only topic addressing this issue].

I too agree having the option to toggle the speed trails on and off is a good idea. I'm using a group of inventory items that represent speed-boosts from levelups to make the player speed up gradually as they gain levels, but the speed trails showing for this don't make sense coming from what is meant to be a natural/constant speed boost.

So yeah, I too ask if this can be placed in for disabling speed-trails on specfic powerups through a string, much like how NeuralStunner suggested [and maybe we'll actually get an answer for this one. I noticed there was no answer for it's inclusion in the past]. Again, sorry to "necro" the post, but I figure it's better to keep requests of the same type in one topic]

Sounds useful to me, I noticed that Skulltag's Haste rune does not create motion trails on the player, whereas the Turbosphere does, is this Skulltag-only behaviour or someway to do it with ZDoom?

I've been trying to more simply adjust Players' Speed with a custom Speed powerup. (Trying to avoid ACS at this point...) It's an aggravation though as I can see translucent PlayerSpeedTrails... I tried replacing that actor with an invisible one, but to no avail.
:bang:

So I thought of Powerup.Mode. How it would probably work: "None" or unspecified spawns speed trails as by default, "NoTrail" does not spawn trails at all. (Or you could do it as "Trail" and "None", doesn't matter...)
