I just tried it out, and the bug is indeed gone, along with the fact the Cajun Bots appear to be (*gasp*) not nearly as dumb as before, though it still looks like a Doom newb with their mouse sensitivity set to max.

It only makes them drop the weapon they had out when they died.

Makes players killed in DM drop their weapons, I believe.

Anyway, this can be changed to 98 and 63a, because lets face it, Co-Op in 2.0.96 is terrible. The major problem is, although the IWADs really abused it (see Doom II MAP01) in many maps you just plain need the extra weapons and ammo that is provided by the multiplayer flag. Also, the "Not Cooperative" flag is there for a reason, and should be a choice of the mappers, not of the engine. And no I have not found a DM flag for this.

Other than that I cannot see anything wrong with ZDoom's Co-Op as of 2.0.98. I can't confirm the stupid bots getting stupider bug because for the life of me I have never gotten cajun bots to work in ZDoom. I'll ask DomRem to do it tomorrow, as hes an expert with those.

Oh and just curious, but what does the Drop Weapons flag do?

Well, that sucks. Considering the plasma rifles disappeared in Map07, where there are two spider masterminds and two cyberdemons, that's going to make it extremely hard.

Most new weapons were usually intended for DM, but at the time (and probably now as well) there was no flag for just DM or just Co-op, they only had multiplayer.

This is a known problem. ZDoom doesn't spawn multiplayer weapons in CoOp because Randy thinks they are meant for Deathmatch only. AFAIK it will be an option in the next version.

Actually, after doing a test on Map14 for a multiplayer SSG, I found out that this is not just limited to plasma rifles. None of the marked multiplayer weapons are appearing.

DETH says they are supposed to appear too. One of us would test the map out in Boom but we don't know how to 1 player co-op with it.

Yes, this was something Belial, HobbsTiger1, and I found out during an IRC conversation. Apparently, for some reason, Map07 and Map19 both have plasma rifles that do not appear. However, according to DB and DeePsea, they are set to all skills on multiplayer.
