i've got a better idea, place the camera behind the thing, to make it look like it's viewing the player (or monster) from the back.

yes, or even better have it so that the monster isn't in the room with the player, and make another room with the monster in but not the player. Then you switch between cameras at the correct height and won't have to worry about the actor being in the way.

like place the camera at the monster's height?

you could use a cunningly placed camera for that.

hey this'll be pretty good for cutscenes! like you could see through a cyberdemon's pov to make it look like the cyberdemon is talking to the player or something.

yes, but I'm sure this thread'll be red soon

Edit by QBasicer:
I don't see anything wrong with this thread. It's up to Randy to look at all feature suggestions and do as he wishes after that.

Modifiable POV

I'm not sure if it's possible, there might be complex calculations that have to be done to make this possible, but someone posted an idea about being able to modify the player's point of view (POV) and I think it's a good idea.

Do you think this is feasible and can produce any benefits?
